How to Use the Free Visual Work Timer

The TimeTrex Visual Work Timer is designed to help you track your work sessions with precision and visual feedback. Whether you’re managing deep-focus tasks or coordinating your day across multiple breaks, here’s how to get the most from the tool:

1. Start Your Work Session

Click the Start button to begin tracking your work. A real-time session timer will appear, and a dynamic cube visualizer will represent your active time with animated 3D blocks.

2. Take Breaks Intentionally

Need a breather? Use the Lunch Break or Coffee Break buttons while working to pause your session. These breaks are tracked separately so you can monitor how you spend your time away from work.

3. Stop or Resume Work Anytime

Click Stop to end a session and save your progress. You can always Start again later to resume tracking. If you’re on a break, clicking Resume Work restarts the session and adjusts break totals automatically.

4. Monitor Your Day at a Glance

The timer dashboard shows:

Status (Idle, Working, On Break)
Current Session Time
Total Work Time
Lunch and Coffee Break Time

5. Reset When Needed

Use the Reset Day button to clear all current tracking data. You’ll be asked to confirm before anything is erased—use this when starting a fresh workday.

6. Export Your Data

Choose Download CSV to save your tracked times for the day or Copy for Sheets to paste directly into spreadsheets like Google Sheets or Excel. This makes reporting or time audits simple and fast.

7. Visual Progress with 3D Cubes

Each minute of active work drops a new cube into the 3D visualization, giving you a satisfying sense of momentum throughout your workday. You can even click and drag to rotate the visual cube environment for a better view.

8. Auto-Save + Local Storage

Your data is automatically saved in your browser, so even if you refresh the page or come back later, your progress is preserved.
