Initial Setup & Profile Creation

Before you can begin tracking time, the system requires a secure user profile. This ensures that all logs are attributed to the correct employee and that data can be recovered if login credentials are lost.

Creating Your Profile

Upon launching the application for the first time, you will be greeted by the Setup Profile screen. You must complete all fields to initialize the tracker.

Once you click the "Save & Start" button, your profile is stored locally. You will use your 4 digit PIN to access the dashboard in future sessions.

Time Tracking & Geolocation

The core function of this GPS time tracker is the ability to log work hours with location context. The application uses the browser's Geolocation API to fetch coordinates when specific actions are performed.

Clocking In

To begin a shift, locate the green Clock In button on the dashboard. Note: You must allow location access when prompted by your browser or device. If location services are disabled, the system will prevent you from clocking in to ensure data integrity.

Managing Breaks

The system supports paid or unpaid breaks depending on your internal policy, but technically tracks them as "On Break" status.

• Start Break: Click the orange button. This pauses the work timer.
• End Break: Click the resume button to continue accumulating work hours.

Location Updates

While clocked in, the GPS time tracker monitors your position. If you move more than 50 meters from your last recorded point, the system automatically generates a "Loc Update" entry in the activity log. This feature is essential for mobile employees such as delivery drivers or field technicians.

Dashboard & Settings

The dashboard serves as the command center for the GPS time tracker. It displays live status, current period earnings, and a duration timer.

Configuring Wages and Pay Periods

To ensure your estimated earnings are accurate, access the Settings menu by clicking the gear icon. Here you can customize the financial and temporal parameters of the tracker.

Data Management: The settings area also allows for data resets. You can "Start New Period" to clear logs while keeping your profile, or perform a "Factory Reset" to erase all data including your user profile.

Exporting Reports

At the end of a pay period, you can export your data in various formats. These tools are located in the action grid at the bottom of the dashboard.

Available Export Formats

• Email Report: Opens your default mail client with a formatted summary and sends it to the Manager Email defined in settings.
• Save Image: Captures a snapshot of your current dashboard and logs as a PNG file.
• Export Excel: Generates a detailed .xlsx file compatible with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. This includes calculated session earnings.
• Export PDF: Creates a professional PDF document with a grid layout of your logs, suitable for invoicing or formal record keeping.

Security & Recovery

Security is maintained via the 4 digit PIN. If you forget your PIN, the application includes a secure recovery flow.

Resetting Your PIN

1. On the login screen, click Forgot PIN?
2. Enter the email address associated with your profile.
3. If the email matches the stored record, you will be prompted to create a new 4 digit PIN.

Digital Footprint: Every session displays a "Digital ID" at the bottom of the screen. This hash is generated based on your device information, ensuring that time logs are originating from a verified device.
