The Retail GPS Time Clock is designed to streamline time and attendance for retail associates. By utilizing browser-based geolocation technology, this tool allows staff to clock in securely from designated store locations without requiring dedicated hardware. This guide covers how to register your profile, manage your daily shifts, and export your timesheets using the interface.

Initial Device Setup

Before you can record your first shift, you must register your device. This is a one-time process designed to link your browser to your employee profile.

Note: If you clear your browser cache or switch devices, you may need to complete the setup process again using your original Associate ID to recover your profile.

Logging In & Security

Once registered, the app will present a simplified "Welcome Back" screen. Daily access requires only your 4-digit PIN.

Resetting a Forgotten PIN

If you cannot remember your PIN, use the "Forgot PIN?" link on the login screen. You will be required to verify your identity by entering your original Associate ID or Email.

• Click "Forgot PIN?" below the login button.
• Enter the Associate ID used during setup.
• Enter a new 4-digit PIN.
• Click "Update PIN" to save changes immediately.

Clocking In & GPS Verification

The Retail GPS Time Clock relies on precise location data to validate shift starts. Ensure your device has location services enabled for your browser.

Step-by-Step Clock In

1. Verify GPS Status: Look for the GPS icon in the top header. A green checkmark indicates high accuracy (±50m or better). An orange warning triangle indicates low accuracy.
2. Start Shift: Click the green "Start Shift / Clock In" button on the dashboard.
3. Select Assignment:
   • Store Location: Select your current branch from the dropdown or type a new one.
   • Department/Role: Select your duty (e.g., Cashier, Stocking) for this shift.
4. Confirm: Click "Confirm." The system will capture your coordinates and timestamp the entry.

Managing Active Shifts

Once clocked in, the dashboard transforms into "Live Mode," displaying your elapsed time, current rate, and estimated gross pay.

Ending Your Shift

When clicking "End Shift," you will be prompted to complete a safety declaration. You must check the box acknowledging that you have taken required breaks and sustained no injuries. You may also add optional shift notes (e.g., "Register 3 printer jammed") for the manager.

History & Exports

The "Shift History" section at the bottom of the dashboard provides a log of all actions within the current pay period.

Exporting Data

You can download your timesheets for personal records or payroll submission using the icons above the log table:

• PDF Export: Generates a formal "Associate Timesheet" document with total hours and estimated gross pay formatted for printing.
• Excel Export: Downloads a raw .xlsx file containing detailed timestamps, GPS references, and duration calculations suitable for spreadsheet analysis.

Troubleshooting & Configuration

If you encounter issues with pay rates or dates, access the Config menu (sliders icon) in the dashboard header.

• Pay Period: Manually adjust the Start and End dates to filter your history logs.
• Hourly Rate: Update your default hourly wage to ensure the "Est. Gross Pay" estimator is accurate.
• Manager Email: Set the default email for reporting issues.

If the app becomes unresponsive or data is corrupted, you can use the "Factory Reset" button in the Settings menu. Warning: This will permanently delete all stored logs and user profile data from the browser.
