Ohio state withholding Employee withholding Ohio Department of Taxation says current employer withholding tables effective October 1, 2025 remain in use. Uses Ohio's optional computer formula with $650 annual exemption values and user-entered additional Ohio withholding.
Ohio supplemental wages Employee withholding Ohio Administrative Code rule 5703-7-10 uses the highest individual tax rate under ORC 5747.02 for supplemental compensation. When turned on, the bonus portion uses 2.75% for Ohio state withholding while regular wages continue through the computer formula.
Municipal income tax Employee withholding Ohio municipal rates are address-specific. ORC 718.03 requires withholding for qualifying wages earned in a taxing municipality, subject to exceptions. Uses YTD wages before this check for wage-base taxes, editable UI/FUTA rates, the technology-fee toggle, and optional BWC/workers comp load.
