Detailed deduction results

Deduction What this calculator used Per pay period Annualized

Annualized results multiply this pay-period estimate by the selected pay frequency. They are best for planning, because true payroll tax can change when CPP, CPP2 or EI maximums are reached midyear.

Saskatchewan payroll rules this calculator watches

CPP is not just one flat line

The calculator applies the per-period basic exemption, the 2026 CPP maximum, the first additional CPP tax deduction and the CPP2 band above the YMPE.

EI stops at the annual maximum

EI is calculated at 1.63% of insurable earnings until the employee reaches the 2026 maximum annual premium of $1,123.07.

Saskatchewan starts at 10.5%

The calculator uses Saskatchewan's 2026 brackets: 10.5% up to $54,532, 12.5% up to $155,805 and 14.5% above that.

TD1 amounts matter

Federal and Saskatchewan claim codes feed non-refundable tax credits. The calculator lets you use claim codes or override the annual TD1 amount directly.

Sources and assumptions

This calculator uses CRA T4127 and T4032 guidance for 2026 Saskatchewan payroll deductions. It includes the 2026 Saskatchewan 10.5%, 12.5% and 14.5% brackets, the $20,381 Saskatchewan basic personal amount, the CRA Saskatchewan claim-code table, CPP, CPP2, EI, the Canada Employment Amount and the optional Saskatchewan labour-sponsored venture capital credit from the CRA formulas.

Saskatchewan employee payroll calculator FAQ

Does this replace CRA PDOC?

No. It is a planning and review calculator. CRA PDOC, payroll software and the employee's actual TD1 records should be used for final withholding.

Why does net pay change after the CPP or EI maximum?

Once an employee reaches the annual CPP, CPP2 or EI limit with the employer, those deductions stop or reduce, so later cheques can be higher.

Did Saskatchewan have a July 2026 formula change?

The CRA July 1, 2026 formula update says there was no change for Saskatchewan, so this calculator uses the 2026 Saskatchewan brackets and claim-code amounts from the January tables.

Can I calculate a bonus?

This calculator is optimized for regular employment pay. CRA has separate bonus and commission methods, so unusual payments should be checked in payroll software or CRA PDOC.
