This digital log replaces manual timesheets with a secure, geolocation-aware system that tracks time against specific units (like ICU, ER, or Med/Surg) and specific duty codes.

Before logging your first shift, the Medical Staff Time Clock requires a one-time device registration. This ensures that the device is securely linked to your unique employee profile. You will need your official credentials to proceed.

Once registered, the dashboard becomes your central hub for time management. The interface is streamlined to allow for rapid status changes between patient care, administrative tasks, and breaks.
To begin a shift, select the Start Shift / Clock In button. You will be prompted to assign your time to a specific location and task. Accurate selection here is crucial for departmental budgeting.

Clinical environments are dynamic. If you move from "Direct Patient Care" to "Charge Nurse Duty" or float to a different unit, use the Change Unit / Duty Code button. This ends the previous time block and immediately starts a new one without requiring a full clock-out.
To log a rest period, click the Break button. The timer will visually indicate "ON BREAK" status. When you return to the floor, simply click Return to Duty to resume tracking against your previous job code.
At the end of a pay period, or whenever personal records are needed, the Medical Staff Time Clock offers robust export options directly from the dashboard. Look for the file icons located above the "Shift Logs" table.

The system integrates mandatory safety declarations to ensure hospital protocol compliance. When you select Clock Out, a modal will appear requesting shift notes (handoff information) and a mandatory checkbox.
You must check the declaration box stating: "I declare that I have completed all patient handoffs and sustained no injuries during this shift." This digital signature is recorded in the logs for liability and safety tracking.
If you encounter issues or need to adjust your profile, use the Preferences menu (slider icon) on the dashboard.
If you forget your 4-digit PIN, click the Forgot PIN? link on the login screen. For security purposes, you must verify your identity by entering your original registered Employee ID before the system allows you to set a new PIN.
